A great new space in Nottingham City centre
Cobden Chambers is located in the City Centre just off Pelham Street, in between the busy Market Square and the vibrant, bustling Hockley.
The site has a facinating, and varied history. It was used as a photographer’s studio in the 1800s and a base for the Nottingham Society of Artists between 1895 – 1912. In the 1970s it was it was the editing house for Platform, a monthly arts magazing for the midlands, and in the 1980s it was home to a horologist. It was even once the registered office for Notts County Football Club back in 1890!
The Chambers is curently undergoing a full refurbishment, transforming it into a unique retail and leasure development, supporting and developing Nottingham’s creative talent.
It has been great to be involved in this project which over time will also feature changing street art for different artists.
